Throw the Ceremonial Battleaxe on top of Dawnmaster Vaseid's pedestal at X:74 Y:69. Throw the Ceremonial Warhammer on top Dawnmaster Seed's pedestal at X:77 Y:75. Throw the mace on top of Dawnmaster Stockhold's pedestal at X:75 Y:71.

What To Do With The Dawnmaster's Crest. This is an item you will need to get your hands on the Blood of Lathander weapon, which you will get during the Blood of Lathander quest. Without the Dawnmaster's Crest, you risk setting off a trap when you attempt to take the Blood of Lathander mace.

Walk up to the central mechanism and insert the Dawnmaster's Crest. The scene that plays next will grant you the Blood of Lathander, a powerful legendary mace that allows the wielder to use a Level 6 Sunbeam spell once per long rest, in addition to a once per long rest heal when health is reduced to 0.

To get the mace you'll have to find a way inside, either by befriending the Githyanki—or at least making them less hostile—and then get to the Inquisitor's chamber. You'll also have to resolve the small matter of the monastery getting nuked if you take the mace, but let's take it one step at a time, shall we?

However, depending on what other choices you make, you can keep Lae'zel alive and on your side if you go into the Astral Prism. If your goal is to keep everyone – or even just Lae'zel – alive, then yes, you should enter the Astral Prism.

Getting the Blood of Lathander – BG3

There's a slot on the mechanism holding the mace where it fits perfectly. Put it in and the traps will disarm, letting you freely take the Blood of Lathander, completing the quest.

It is not permanent in any case. After a certain point you cannot go back to renew it. Leave a companion in the camp and pick them back up again, you'll get it again for them.

To find this item, you need to go to the Rosymorn Monastery and start the Ceremonial Weapons side quest which will give you the Dawnmaster's Crest as a reward. But first, you must travel to find three ceremonial weapons that you must place in an appealing room to start the quest.

When you enter the final room, walk up to the Crest Panel and insert the Dawnmaster's Crest.

Where can I get the Dawnbringer crest? ›

Before you enter it, you need to acquire the Dawnbringer Crest. To find it, head to the stained glass puzzle on the top floor of Rosymorn Monastery. Find the three ceremonial weapons that are spread out around the monastery and place them on the appropriate altars.
